The Hike
You begin this scenic hike from a vineyard in the beautiful south Okanagan. The hikes will have epic vistas that stretch south to Osoyoos and up the valley north to Penticton. Views are truly spectacular and worth the 2.5 – 4 hour round trip hike (depending on your speed and where we hike). Dogs and kids are welcome, which makes this family outing one of the best things to do in the Okanagan.
Your hike will have many adventures. Be prepared to encounter the wildlife that is well known in the South Okanagan area. This is labeled as semi-arid desert country, so be prepared for snakes and critters. As well you will enjoy the blooming cacti, wildflowers, and foliage along the way.
Bring your hiking shoes or good tread runners. For those who are fit, we can hike a little further with a few more hills. For kids and those who are not used to hiking, we can find your route to suit your needs! We will provide a water bottle for you to carry and snacks for the top if you are not used to trail running or hiking.
The best part, is that at the end of the hike after you come back down, you know that the wine tasting shop is there waiting for you. Enjoy a charcuterie platter with local cuisine along with wine tastings, and fresh cold water! The views and settings at the wineries are truly breathtaking and a getaway from our busy lives.
