In my younger days I was a professional musician, and I have played hundreds of concerts across Canada and throughout the United States. In 2003 I retired from music and became interested in endurance sports, initially as a runner.

I specialized in marathon running and completed over 30 of them, including the Boston Marathon. By 2007 I had progressed to competing in Ironman Triathlons. It was through Ironman racing and training that my wife and I fell in love with cycling in the Okanagan, and we moved to Penticton in 2017. Since retiring from racing 5 years ago, I’ve switched my focus entirely to cycling.
“My favourite rides are either epic, fast, or both!”

As a child, I spent most of my summers in Vancouver and Penticton, B.C. dabbling in all kinds of sports from slalom water skiing to premier soccer. I discovered a sport that suited my love for athletics and I somehow ended up racing 25 Ironmans including Hawaii which still holds many fond memories. Even before competing in Ironmans and trail running events, I was drawn to it in high school by competing in the Hepthalon (7 events). The appeal for multi-sports grew from there.

I continue to compete and participate in epic hiking and cycling adventures but my love for road cycling remains on top. It brings me to places that cars never see. It has allowed me to travel to exotic places around the world and explore areas where there is no cell service! I work full-time for the world’s largest sports marketing company and disconnecting every once in a while is a big part of why I cycle. I have been a certified fitness instructor part-time for over 25 years and I absolutely LOVE my Monday night cycle class. It brings me great pleasure to motivate, inspire and execute a safe and effective cycling workout. Life is about balance and also about creating memories and experiences. I am honoured to join Epic Cycling Adventures as a ride leader.
“Life is a sport, make it count…Just Do It.”

I caught the cycling bug in 2008 when my husband’s uncle introduced us to the sport. His pure passion was infectious; he took us for a 100km ride shortly after I got my first road bike, I couldn’t sit down for a week, but I also couldn’t deny the fun I’d had. There’s been a steady increase in bikes, races, trips and meeting great people ever since. Along the way I got involved in triathlon, but cycling is my strongest sport and there is nothing better for the soul than a long, tough ride followed by a great glass of wine. Training for three Ironmans and multiple other races over the years has allowed me to explore the Okanagan in a way that only cycling would allow. Can’t wait to explore even more this year with Epic Cycling! Things you should know: I laugh a lot, sarcasm is my second language, I LOVE descending crazy hills and I was known as La Bruja Canadiense and Rambo’s Girlfriend when I worked in Argentina.
“Looking forward to the fun stories when we ride together!”

A life long athlete, I spent my youth and university years competitive swimming and playing water polo. I transitioned to Triathlon to stay fit while raising a young family. Fast forward to today and I look back at a successful Triathlon career spanning over 30+ years. I have raced locally and abroad, placing at World Championship events including multiple podium finishes in Kona and several World 70.3 Championships.

I earned a Physical Education Degree and have used this knowledge combined with my enthusiasm to lead and motivate others as a Triathlon Coach for the past 9 years. I have coached and led group rides and training sessions at various triathlon training camps and cycling camps.

I still love to race but I am equally content to simply ride my bike. Warmer months are spent training and exploring the Southern Okanagan by road or gravel bike. As a wine enthusiast, I make a point of visiting many of the local wineries on my journeys. Each winter I pack up my two wheels and periodically head south in search of open roads, epic climbs, new friendships and of course, good food and fine wine.
“My time off the bike is spent with my other passions, my family, including 6 grandkids and my 2 Cattle Dogs.”

He’s a Masters bicycle racer, and former national elite-level duathlete and runner. He is certified as a Level 2 NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) under Canada’s Coaching Association.

My passion for cycling and travel has led me to take on road challenges all over the world. Since 2013 I have finished strong in 7 Gran Fondos in Canada and multiple 7-day TransAlp stage races in the Alps, coached cycling clinics, and navigated my way up famous mountain routes in Italy and Spain. All along the way, I’ve revelled in the good life that comes with cycling in the most beautiful places on earth, sharing fantastic food, wine and great weather with my closest and newly-made friends.

Back in BC, when not visiting the newest local brewery, you can be sure to find me seeking a Cypress PR.
